La Jolla’s Coast Walk

Feb 5, 2020

Hidden away in La Jolla, nestled just between Prospect Street and Coast Blvd is an amazing walking path called Coast Walk. The path begins at a secret location, a small parking lot at the intersection of Prospect Place and Park Row. From the parking lot you take the wooden staircase with the brown hand rail that will lead you to a magnificent bluff overlooking the gorgeous La Jolla Bay, only 100 feet below. The view is just awesome! To your right, you can see the hollow for which La Jolla is named. Only a little beyond the hollow, you can see the red-tiled roofs of the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, followed by the line of tall palm trees along Kellogg Park. A little farther on is the pier of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, a La Jolla landmark since 1916.
