Del Mar’s racing season opens July 19th this year! Opening day will attract 40,000 plus die heart-racing fans will be decked out in the latest designer fashions. Ladies will be wearing their hottest eye catching, glamorous, comedic, whimsical and shocking hats for the traditional “One and Only Truly Fabulous Hats Contest”. The entrants are judged on their creativity and style. You will be able to strut your stuff between 11:30AM and 3:00PM in Plaza de Mexico located inside the Stretch Run admission gates.
On Friday and Saturday nights after the races, the racetrack will offer The Del Mar Summer Concert Series with free headliner shows to rocked the summer nights.
