The La Jolla Historical Society will host its 17th annual Secret Garden Tour. This tour is one of my favorite garden tours. If you are a garden lover, like me then La Jolla’s secret garden tour is a must. It’s La Jolla Historical Society’s primary annual fundraising event. The tour will feature six private gardens, past tours have included gardens in La Jolla Farms, a traditional Muirlands Estate, a California Tudor, and a Cape Cod cottage garden. The exact locations are not known till the day of the event.
All the gardens will be enhanced with music performed by local musicians and tabletop displays by local designers. There will also be local artists capturing the essence of the gardens.
All Proceeds from the tour make it possible for the Society to care for its extensive and unique collection, create and expand educational programs to advocate the preservation of La Jolla’s heritage. The cost for the tour: LJHS members $40 and non-members $50. Events like the Secret Garden Tour enables the Society to preserve La Jolla’s special character and charm.
