California’s Watering Regulations During The Drought

Jul 6, 2015

If you live in California then you know we are going through a major drought!

The city of San Diego has implemented new watering restriction for all homeowners.

The new restrictions limit outdoor irrigation to two days per week instead of three and watering sessions must be a maximum of five minutes instead of the previous seven minutes.

Watering days for properties with odd-numbered addresses are Sunday and Thursday, even-numbered addresses get Wednesday and Saturday and apartments and condos get Monday and Friday.

Watering is also banned between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and prohibited within 48 hours of a rain event, which the city defines as one-eighth of an inch of rain or more.

In addition, use of decorative fountains is outlawed except for maintenance purposes.

If you have any questions regarding the restrictions visit this website.
