If you have been a home buyer on the fence on whether to buy a home or wait, my advice as a La Jolla Realtor is “it’s time to get off the fence”! In fact the latest report by The National Association of Realtors states:
Existing-home sales rose in April and remain above a year ago, while home prices continued to rise, according to the National Association of REALTORS®. The improvements in sales and prices were broad based across all regions.
Also Lawrence Yun NAR chief economist says:
“the housing recovery is underway. “It is no longer just the investors who are taking advantage of high affordability conditions. A return of normal home buying for occupancy is helping home sales across all price points, and now the recovery appears to be extending to home prices,” he said. “The general downtrend in both listed and shadow inventory has shifted from a buyers’ market to one that is much more balanced, but in some areas it has become a seller’s market.”
All indications are showing that this summer is going to be a very busy selling season for La Jolla Real Estate. Buyers, you better being wearing your track shoes, because buying a home in La Jolla is going to be a very tight race! Be prepared and make sure you are working with a good and knowledgeable Realtor (like myself) who can coach you through your home purchase!
