Just east of its namesake rock and the local sea gulls’ favored resting spot in the waves, Bird Rock is a neighborhood is a combination of wonderful homes and some beautiful oceanfront estates. It has its own small business district specializing in unique shops, wonderful restaurants, an oceanside park. Tourmaline Beach, known as a favorite with local surfers is there. Bird Rock has traditionally been considered a tight-knit community and remains so today.
