A Bird’s Eye view of How La Jolla’s Real Estate Market is Trending!
The question I hear most, as a La Jolla Realtor is “How’s La Jolla’s real estate market”? My answer is, it depends if you are a Buyer or Seller. If you are a Buyer NOW is the time to BUY! In fact if you’re a buyer “Why are you waiting”? Interest rates are at historical lows and home values are close to 2001/2002 levels. However, as a Seller if you are going to sell your home in today’s market pricing your home right is essential for a successful sale.
As you can see from the Market Action Index that the median price of a home in La Jolla is $2,047,500, and the 292 properties have been on the market for average of 173 days. The Index also states that market is trending down, while the days on the market are increasing this means it’s still a Buyers Market!
Again, the Median Price is also trending down, which is not breaking the cycle. Until there is an upward shift in prices the Market Action Index is a good leading indicator of current values.
